Sketching Columbus

As we prepare to leave Columbus and head to the great white north – Rochester, NY, I have been sketching my buns off.  Remembrances of a city that we love.  It ain’t the Cedar Mesa, but it has been home for us on and off for the last 30 years.  These are places and views that I love.

Kayaking the Olentangy

Beautiful morning on the river kayaking with some friends.   Most would be amazed at the wildlife in these rivers located so close to metropolitan areas.  Today we saw the typical deer and a raccoon but added a mink, several heron rookeries and a pair of bald eagles that sat in the tree above us for 20 minutes.
